I came to visit this blog accidentally and is glad that the GOH Clan can have a dedicated member like you.
This anniversary reminded me of my past dinners .Great to know that during these difficult times,there are members like you to contribute and bursaries are still encouraging.
However.,you also need to look into how to retain membership and invite new members.You play an important if members are decreasing slowly,which is the usual case.
One thing I am sad is that a CLAN can invite a VVIP for their annual dinner just becos he is a VVIP and share the same surname but when one of the CLAN member's family member call up to notify about the member's death,the reply was :NO SUCH MEMBER".You may have heard about this.No condolence when told about member's death and proof of death need to be shown to the CLAN but CLAN can take out the name of the member's membership without verification.The membership cease there.VVIP with the same surname is given special invitation.Member is not valued except an invitation each year for the dinner to clap hand for the VVIP.
This is a dissapointment and shameful .What is th purpose of a CLAN?Many have forgotten.
So,you play an important part in keeping the GOH intact.
I am not mentioning the CLAN's name but I believe you must have heard about it.
hi,agongkai,we have all the list for our member record,if call up for to notify about the member death,we will check their name,address,phone number to confirm it,unless we don't have their record or their change their particular not inform our association,thank for your comment.
